A metallized D-Sub connector housing for custom DB9 serial cable assemblies and industrial equipment connections.
The Industrial Netware DB9 Metallized Plastic Hood provides a protective enclosure for standard DB9 D-Sub connectors used in industrial communications, automation equipment, serial interfaces, and electronic maintenance applications.
Unlike a conventional non-metallized plastic hood, this model features a silver-colored metallized housing. The conductive surface can support shielding-oriented cable assembly designs when properly integrated with compatible connectors and cable shielding.
Its two-piece construction allows technicians to install a DB9 connector, route the cable through the rear opening, and assemble the housing using the included screws and hardware.
This hood is a practical choice for custom RS232 cables, replacement serial connections, and equipment maintenance where a metallized connector enclosure is preferred.
