Environmental Protection

The RJ45 plug is not waterproof by itself. The IP67 rating does not apply to the entire cable assembly when the RJ45 connector is exposed.

Important Network Compatibility Information

This cable is intended for standard 4-pin M12 D-coded industrial Ethernet connections, typically used for 10/100 Mbps communication.

Although the cable supplier advertises Cat7 cable materials, the four-pin M12 D-coded interface does not provide the eight conductors normally required for standard 1000BASE-T Gigabit or 10GBASE-T Ethernet connections.

For applications requiring Gigabit or 10Gbps Ethernet, verify the equipment's connector requirements and select an appropriately rated cable assembly.
